Hey there and welcome to my first ever blog post! Blogging is something completely new to me but I'm very excited to share this new step in my makeup journey with you and I hope that my input will benefit you.
Primer is one of the most important products you can have in your beauty arsenal. For anyone who is unfamiliar with primer, (it's ok, this is a judgement-free zone) it is the basically the foundation for your foundation. Primer is the first product you put on before you start piling on the foundation, concealer, contour, etc. It is the barrier between your skin and the rest of the makeup and gives the products something to adhere to. The great thing about it is that because it acts as a barrier, it will keep any oils your skin produces from seeping into your makeup.
A co-worker of mine recommended this primer to me when I told her I was looking to replace my Neutrogena Shine control primer. I use that primer on my oily skin gals, but this time I wanted to find a primer that would be suitable for all skin types. She swore that it works and that she uses it on herself as well as her clients. So I decided to try it out on myself and gave it a go.

First off, I would like to apologize for my duckface and the fact that this will not be the last time my face looks like that. Also, I had on a strapless dress which is why it looks like I have on no shirt- sorry! Duckface aside, the formula comes out a nudish-pearl color that blends into the skin with no visible color. I like the texture of this primer. It's very smooth and blends into the skin without getting tacky or sticky. I prefer to dab a little bit on my face and then blend this into my skin with my fingers rather than a brush.
As far as it's actual performance, I applied my makeup around 4:00 p.m. and didn't remove it until around 11:00 p.m. I had it on for at least a solid 6 hours and after eating and socializing, my face looked like this:

I would like to let you know that I have not edited this picture and I spent at least 15 minutes trying to get a good selfie. By the end of the night, I noticed that although I powdered my face, my T-zone was a bit shiny. It wasn't shiny to the point where I was a greaseball, it was something that a blotting sheet could easily take away. It's just that I don't usually have that problem with my Neutrogena primer. As a whole, it's not bad- makeup application is flawless over it and it doesn't irritate the skin, but if you know your skin type is a bit oily, then you might want to avoid it.
